Masi 3V Volumetrica

Masi’s Volumetrica frame was innovative and unique in the way that the lugs fitted snuggly inside the tubes. Using thin walled, larger diameter tubing enabled Masi to think differently and create a custom lug that the tubes slotted over. A ring of silver, between the lug and the frame, was then heated and when the silver melted, it flowed into the gap between the joins. The internally lugged method produced a very stiff frame, the thinner tubes granting a reduction in weight that’s made up by the slight increase in tube diameter.
